My paintings

My works arise in dialogue with color. Each surface changes through overlays, breaks, and condensations. I do not follow a fixed plan. The process leads me further until a picture has found its own balance.

I work with different materials and create structures that carry or hold back the color. The layering often remains visible, making the path through the image transparent. Repetitions, variations, and deliberate interventions stand side by side and form series that grow over time.

I have been involved in painting for many years and work alongside my career as a musician. The connection between color and sound influences many of my decisions in my paintings. Repetition, variation, rhythm, and rupture have a similar meaning in both areas.

I regularly work in series and develop image sequences that arise from processes. The materials and techniques change depending on the phase and focus.

Color & material

Color is the starting point and the tool. I use acrylics, chalks, inks, and mixed media. Layering creates spaces in which transparency and density alternate.

Development in series

Many of my works belong to series that evolve over months. Each variation responds to the previous one and opens up the next.

Working process

I often start with quick lines or broad areas of color. As I continue, layers emerge that reveal or conceal traces. The process remains open until a harmonious relationship between surface, structure, and movement emerges.
